Lakers Are 9th Overall In ESPN Power Rankings

NBA reporters and insiders released their power ranking for the 2018-19 season and the Los Angeles Lakers are number nine overall. These rankings came out after Kawhi Leonard was traded from San Antonio to Toronto.

Being ranked 9th is a huge improvement from a year ago when they were sitting at 22nd overall going into last season. With the Lakers signing the best player in the NBA, Lebron James, that easily would move any team multiple spots on the power rankings. The Lakers other notable veteran signings of Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, Lance Stephenson, and Michael Beasley would help improve any roster in the NBA.

Going into the 2017-18 season, the Cavaliers were ranked number two overall behind the Warriors and this year (2018-19) without James, Cleveland is number twenty-three(23). The Lebron James effect is huge and pairing him with other veteran players and the best young core in basketball, this year will be entertaining to watch.
